Well, I didn't do a book review in March or April and only have one book to share this month, but it's such a good one that I had to recommend it. I'm definitely going to use the I-just-had-a-baby excuse to explain my lack of reading. March was a crazy busy month with work deadlines, helping care for my Grandma, and checking things off my pre-baby to-do list. Then in April the only book reading I did leading up to Emma's birth was in preparation for childbirth. So, it felt really good to finally read a book for fun the last few weeks.
Bread & Wine: A Love Letter to Life Around the Table with Recipes has been on my must read list for months since I heard such great things about it, and guess what, it did not disappoint. This book was good for my soul and really inspired me. I loved all the stories and life lessons and it really made me want to be someone who hosts friends and family for dinner a lot more often. It was a good reminder of what's truly important in life and definitely aligns with where my mind and heart are at these days having just welcomed a new sweet baby and feeling the ache of my first two babies getting big so fast. I'm looking forward to trying some of the recipes from this book with my book club girls next week.
