Park Time

Play date at the park with our Bisson cousins and the Van Roekels!

My brother's son is named Isaac, so Davey's 1st cousin.  Then my cousin's little guy is named Isaac, so Davey's 2nd cousin.  Then Char's youngest is named Isaac, so I think Davey thinks that because he's about his age and his name is Isaac he must be his cousin.  Davey refers to these three boys as his "three cousin Isaacs." 😂

This baby is a climber!

Grandma Ann told Clara to go pick out a backpack for back to school and she would buy it for her.  She was one happy little girl!  Thanks again Mom!

My kiddos love when Cali and Cohen come to play!

Clara's 1st soccer practice!  She is loving soccer so far and is learning so much from her awesome coach!

So for the past 4 weeks while Clara has been practicing soccer, the three of us play at the nearby park.

I love checking on this sleeping beauty before I head to bed.  She's always snuggled up with a friend.

We walked/biked to the park and played soccer this day.

There's no place I'd rather be.

We had a play date with the Bartz family and then headed to the museum to meet Jessie, Miriam and Angus August 30th.

We've loved meeting Billy, Heather and Haddie at the park during Clara's soccer practices (right by their house) the past few weeks.  Love my little niece!!  She is talking up a storm.  "C'mon Emma" is my favorite.

Grandma and Grandpa Ellingson came to visit for the day September 3rd!

Hot Air Balloons

August 18th we were so excited to to watch the Great Plains Balloon Race.  Well, we got to the park and found out it was too windy for the balloons to safely launch.  So we played at the park, and planned to try again the next night.

These two sisters are so sweet!

The next morning the girls and I went to a shower for my cousin's fiancé Gretchen.  

Clara loved bringing the beautiful bride-to-be her gifts.

We are so excited to celebrate with Gretchen and Matthew on their big day next month!

We headed back to the park in hopes of seeing the hot air balloon race that evening.  We got to go inside one of the balloons!

Emma was super excited when one of the balloons started inflating.

A sweet girl sitting next to us saw me taking a picture of Michael and the kids and offered to take one of all of us!

But unfortunately it was too windy again and the balloons couldn't go up.

One more balloon inflated just for fun, but that was the extent of it.  Next year I think we're going to get up early and go to one of the morning launches in hopes it will be less windy.

The next day we went to the Davids' for supper with friends.  The Andersons and the Murrays came too!  Hanging with our besties is my favorite!  And all of our kiddos always have so much fun together.

Emma was loving the slip and slide and would just stand under the water spray with a big smile on her face!
