Show and Tell Tuesday: Grownup Parties

It's Show and Tell Tuesday and I'm joining Andrea to talk about Grownup Parties.  I love a good party, and all the better if there is a theme!  Here's a peek at a few of the grownup parties I've thrown or helped put on over the last several years.

My besties and I threw a bridal shower for our favorite girl Keira back in 2011.  It was a Pampered Chef shower so a consultant was there to help Keira demo some products and guests got to "shop" right at the shower for Pampered Chef gifts.  I interviewed Keira's fiancé prior to the shower so we could play the Almost Newlywed Game with Keira.  I remember laughing a lot during this shower.  It was so much fun!

We also threw Keira a children's book themed baby shower in 2013 that was so adorable!  All of the food went along with different children's books we gifted Keira.  I made a cloth diaper cake that turned out pretty cute, if I do say so myself. 😉  The mama-to-be looked stunning!!  Three of my besties were all pregnant then and had babies in October, November and December!

I planned a bridal shower for my soon-to-be sister-in-law Heather in 2014.  My aunt Beth hosted and several others pitched in to pull it off.  Their wedding colors were blue and green so that's what we went with for the shower as well.  I interviewed my brother Billy on video so we could play the Almost Newlywed Game.  It was so fun to be able to ask Heather a question and then hit play to see if Billy's answer lined up.  And I love how the cake turned out!  I also remember a rousing game of pass the presents!  Love my family!

We gathered again in 2015 to celebrate the birth of my niece Haddie Jo with a baby shower for Heather.  I was in charge of invites and making the decorations and my mom headed up games and food, with lots of help from my aunts.  The shower was held on November 7, 2015 which would have been my sweet Grandpa's 100th birthday.  I got the most beautiful pictures of Haddie and my 98-year-old Grandma.  After the shower my mom, Grandma, aunt Elizabeth, Clara and I brought the flowers I picked out for the shower/Grandpa's birthday to my Grandpa's grave and sang him happy birthday.  What a sweet memory.  I plan to visit this year again to sing happy birthday to my Grandma on what would have been her 100th birthday.  This is making me cry...  As if this day wasn't special enough, my niece Avery ended up being born this day as well, on my Grandpa's 100th birthday.

We celebrated my mother-in-law Sandra's 60th birthday in 2015 as well.  I was in charge of decorations and made paper fans for the first time.  We went out to eat and then came back to the house to celebrate with family and friends.  It was a great party!

I'm so excited to hop around and check out everyone's parties!  So fun!  Have a great day everyone!
