Christmas Day

Christmas morning was extra special at our home this year because we had sweet baby Emma to celebrate with.  Two Christmases ago we gave Clara a baby doll as a gift and as much as she liked it she said, "but I wanted a real baby."  Bless.  We'd actually been trying to get pregnant at the time and it ended up taking several more months.  Now look.  Two Christmases later and we have three little loves.  God's timing is perfect.

Christmas morning consisted of Daddy playing with the "big" kids in their bedrooms to distract them while I got ready and we waited for Emma to wake up.  We always have cinnamon rolls and fresh fruit.  We like to take our time opening presents and let the kids check out and play with their gift before moving on.  I love our relaxed pace and really savor the whole experience.

I love this picture so much.  Look at those sweet sisters smiling at each other! 💕

We are so blessed.

We get the kids a special ornament each year.  We got Davey a baseball player since this summer was his first year of T-ball.

We got Clara a ballerina.  She had her first big recital this spring.

Emma got a Baby's 1st Christmas ornament.

I couldn't love being their mama more.

And I'm so grateful they have such a wonderful dada.

Santa came through on the Imaginext Batbot!

Santa was also listening when Clara asked for a castle for her princess dolls.

books for Clara to practice her reading

Yep.  My outdoor/wilderness/survival loving hubby wanted an ax for Christmas. 😊

I love my beautiful teapot!

Clara followed the instructions and built her entire lego set by herself!  I should have taken a picture of it.

JOY

I had to put Emma's Christmas outfit on for a little bit!

Emma officially started crawling on Christmas day.  She had been getting up on her hands and knees and rocking back and forth.  She'd also done a few little crawls, but she crawled about four feet at once on Christmas.  It was official.  She was on the move.

What a lovely day.  Hope everyone had a merry Christmas!  Happy birthday Jesus!
